Makarand buva was born in Satara, Maharashtra. His family is originally from Riswad, and his ancestors were
Sumant in darbar of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. His journey started in childhood at a Vishnu Mandir in
Satara, where he was exposed to the Spiritual discourse (Katha Kirtan, Pravachan) and Upasana of Shri
Samartha Ramdas Swami. As per the guidance of senior member Mr Annakaka Abhyankar, Makarand Buva
relocated to Sajjangad after completing his undergrad in Instrumental Engineering in 1987. He initiated
his services at Shri Samartha Ramdas Samadhi. He was privileged to participate in daily services for Shri
Ramdas Swami Samadhi and Dasbodh rites and rituals.
Makarand Buva got his education and training in spiritual discourse and sermon from various experienced
and honorable Gurus like Anant (Appa) Athvale, Vardanand Bharti and many more For the past 23 years, he
has been on this auspicious journey and mission of presenting and spreading wisdom from Sanatan Dharma and
Vedic philosophy. His deep knowledge about Bharat's saints, sages, and scriptures is a precious treasure,
and it is reflected in his various discourses. Apart from a spiritual aspect, Makarand buva is also a
trained pilot. He enjoys visiting new places.
मकरंद बुवा यांचा जन्म महाराष्ट्रातील सातारा येथे झाला. त्यांचे मूळ गाव रिसवड असून त्यांचे पूर्वज छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांच्या दरबारात सुमंत पदावर कार्यरत होते. त्यांच्या अध्यात्मिक प्रवासाची सुरुवात बालपणी साताऱ्यातील विष्णू मंदिरात झाली, जिथे त्यांनी श्री समर्थ रामदास स्वामींच्या उपासना, कथा-कीर्तन व प्रवचनांचे संस्कार घेतले.
वरिष्ठ मार्गदर्शक अण्णाकाका अभ्यंकर यांच्या सूचनेनुसार, १९८७ साली Instrumentation Engineering मध्ये पदवी पूर्ण केल्यानंतर मकरंद बुवा सज्जनगड येथे स्थायिक झाले. त्यांनी श्री समर्थ रामदास स्वामींच्या समाधीस्थळी सेवा सुरू केली. तेथे त्यांनी श्रीरामदास स्वामींच्या समाधीची दैनंदिन सेवा व दासबोध पारायणात सक्रिय सहभाग घेतला.
त्यांनी परमपूज्य वरदानंद भारती (अनंत दामोदर आठवले ) आणि इतर अनेक आदरणीय गुरूंपासून आध्यात्मिक प्रवचन व उपदेशाचे शिक्षण घेतले. गेल्या २३ वर्षांपासून ते सनातन धर्म आणि वैदिक तत्त्वज्ञानाचे प्रचार व प्रसार करत आहेत. भारतातील संत, ऋषी, व ग्रंथ यांचे त्यांचे ज्ञान हे एक मौल्यवान ठेवा आहे, जो त्यांच्या विविध प्रवचनांतून प्रकट होतो.
